Thursday night, July 28th, the Fox theatre was filled with some phenomenal music and great live performance. Death Cab for Cutie played their twenty-fourth stop in the ʻCodes and Keysʼ tour in Detroit.

Itʼs that time of year boys and girls. The time of year when flowers are in bloom, the sun is shining and Techno is in the air. Or as least it is at Hart Plaza in Detroit. Or at least it will be Memorial Day weekend.

Every Memorial Day weekend a festival is thrown in the birthplace of Techno, Detroit. The Detroit Electronic Music Festival, or DEMF to those who know whatʼs up, has had people flocking to Hart Plaza for the past 10 years. Last year nearly 100,000 people packed the plaza to check out some of the best Techno, or Electronic Dance Music, the world has to offer. The DEMF lineup is always as extensive as it is long and this yearʼs schedule is no exception; boasting over 100 artists, including everyoneʼs favorite 1990ʼs DJ, Fatboy Slim.
