Drake is most definitely making an impact in the hip hop world.
Since dropping his mix tape, So far Gone last year the hype surrounding this young rap star is growing tremendously. Last week, the force of Drake was translated into sales. The Young Money rapper hit the charts at no. 1, as expected, selling an impressive 447,000 copies.

The XX have gone from zero to hero in the past year. With the explosion of their first, self-entitled, album the band has established that they’re ‘it’ when it comes to billowing beats, synth tones and trumping baselines. They’re not the first to broach this genre of music, but right now they’re the best at it- and the crowds love it.

Electro poppers, Phoenix, are no strangers to the unplugged scene. They’ve preformed minus electricity on the streets of Paris, on NPR news programs and now they’re coming out, once again, on MTV’s ‘Unplugged’.
Ironically enough, this is their most ‘electro’ set among their unplugged performances, but we still dig their sound!

In a recent interview, Mathers told The New York Times, "I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want. It's the new tolerant me! My overall look on things is a lot more mature than it used to be."

Canadian rockers, Stars, have always been ‘epic’; their forte is creating songs that chronicle love affairs, tell tragic stories and riddle tragedies. Stars has always been good listening for the wounded soul- making one feel at home with the symphonic pain they exude.
Stars is good at what they do. We all love a band that recognizes the crappy, heartbreaking and stormy side of life. So, upon the release of their newest album, 'The Five Ghosts', fans were ready for another fix of Stars’ classic tunes.
