Rockers Aerosmith managed to mend their relationship with frontman Steven Tyler and save the band by sitting down for crisis talks in February.

Tyler stunned his band mates last year when he announced his plans for a two-year hiatus before quitting the group. The musicians immediately embarked on a mission to find a new singer to allow the band to continue touring, but their plans were thrown into chaos when Tyler's manager, Skip Miller, threatened to sue Aerosmith if the rocker was replaced.

The former manager of the Sex Pistols and one of the seminal figures of the punk rock era, Malcolm McLaren, died Thursday, his son said. He was 64.

Joe Corre his father died of an aggressive form of cancer in Switzerland, declining to give the exact location because he said he wanted to avoid a media scrum.

"He was the original punk rocker and revolutionized the world," Corre told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. "He's somebody I'm incredibly proud of. He's a real beacon of a man for people to look up to."

Barbados born singer Rihanna has announced that she will be hitting the stage again this year with a 25-date tour.

The tour, titled “Last Girl on Earth,” will begin on July 2 in Seattle and run through August 25, ending in Chicago.

Rihanna was bringing along Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj as her openers, although a mere two days after the tour was announced, Minaj revealed through her twitter account that she would be dropping off the tour in order to work on her new album instead. Fortunately, the tour will be capable of going on without her.

Rihanna’s latest single “Rude Boy” has been number one on the Hot 100 list for three weeks, which is her longest run since “Umbrella.”
