According to a blog posted on the band’s Web site, front man for The Ataris, Kris Roe was involved in a car accident earlier this week. At this point, Roe looks as if he’ll make a full recovery, although the band was forced to cancel a scheduled show in San Francisco.
The posted blog explained how the wreck happened. Apparently Roe had been traveling behind a vehicle that suddenly slammed on their brakes and to avoid hitting the vehicle he swerved head on into an LED construction warning sign.

Chris Brown upset fans in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday by aiming a foul-mouthed rant at a radio presenter and walking out of an interview.
The singer has been attempting to rebuild his career after he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna last year, but he marred a promotional appearance on Q94 WRVQ by swearing at host Kash and accusing the DJ of failing to play his records. Kash played the pre-recorded interview back to listeners, and explained his surprise when Brown began shouting at him for no reason.
Front man for the Vegas-based band the Killers has decided to take a break from the group to work on his upcoming solo debut. Brandon Flowers is making his Vegas roots obvious in the title of his soon to be released new album, “Flamingo.” The Killers seem to be supporting Flowers’ decision to go solo, for the band’s official Web site has been updating their fans on the status of the singer’s debut solo album.
Weezer’s contract with Geffen Records has officially expired, but that isn’t stopping the band from coming up with lots of new ideas. They haven’t decided yet on a future record label course, but the band has decided to release a deluxe expanded edition of “Pinkerton,” originally released in 1996 as their second album.
M.I.A.’s latest music video for “Born Free” was removed by YouTube Tuesday for violating the rules that “prohibit content like pornography or gratuitous violence.” The video includes graphic violence to help with M.I.A.’s politically charged message. Originally, YouTube only put an age restriction on the video. One would have to verify they were at least 18 in order to view the clip, but the official version has since been taken down completely.
